Paws. Play. Love. Pet Care Service Agreement
Version 2026-10
This agreement is between Paws. Play. Love., operated by Mechea Randolph ("Caregiver"), and the pet owner named on this form ("Owner"). It covers all boarding, day care, drop-in, and transport services the Owner books, now and in the future, until it is replaced by a newer version.
1. Health and vaccinations
Owner confirms each dog is in good health and is current on rabies, DHPP (distemper and parvo), and bordetella vaccines, and is on flea and tick prevention. Owner will provide vaccine records before the first stay. Caregiver may decline or end a stay if a dog shows signs of illness or contagious disease, or if records are missing.
2. Behavior
Owner has shared any history of aggression, biting, resource guarding, separation anxiety, or escape attempts. If a dog's behavior puts people or other pets at risk, Caregiver may separate the dog or ask Owner (or the emergency contact) to pick the dog up early. Owner is responsible for any injury or damage caused by their dog.
3. Emergency veterinary care
If a dog becomes ill or injured, Caregiver will try to reach Owner first, then the emergency contact. If neither can be reached, Owner authorizes Caregiver to take the dog to Owner's listed vet or the nearest available emergency clinic and approve the treatment the vet recommends. Owner agrees to pay all veterinary costs and reasonable transport costs.
4. Play and assumption of risk
Owner understands that dogs in care may play with other dogs and that, even with careful supervision, play can result in minor scrapes, scratches, upset stomach, or stress. Owner accepts these normal risks and releases Caregiver from claims arising from them, except where caused by Caregiver's gross negligence.
5. Payment and cancellations
Rates are listed on the Services page and confirmed by Caregiver at booking. Payment is due at or before drop-off unless otherwise agreed, by Zelle or another method Caregiver accepts. Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the start of a booking are not charged. Cancellations made within 48 hours may be charged a fee quoted by Caregiver. Late pick-ups may be charged at the current day rate.
6. Pick-up
Owner will pick up the dog at the agreed time or send a person named in writing. If a dog is not picked up within 3 days after the scheduled time and Owner and the emergency contact cannot be reached, Caregiver may arrange for the dog's care at Owner's expense, including placement with a local shelter or rescue.
7. Photos
Caregiver sends photo and video updates during care. Sharing photos publicly (for example on social media) is optional and is covered by the checkbox below.
8. Electronic signature
Owner agrees to sign this agreement electronically and that the electronic signature, typed name, and initials have the same effect as a handwritten signature. Owner may request a paper copy at any time.
